Tanyss Nixi is a Roots Alt-Country Artist from Edmonton, AB

Tanyss Nixi draws from classic country & rockabilly influences (Kitty Wells, Hank Sr., Carl Perkins, Wanda Jackson) and modern alt-country greats (Gillian Welch, Richard Buckner, Neko Case) to make her own original, world-wise but never weary songs.

Tanyss has released 2 albums and played across Canada at festivals and showcases such as NXNE, WCMA, Much Music Unplugged. Her second album was supported by Rawlco Radio, and received shiny reviews from !Exclaim and Chart Attack. Having been on hiatus for a few years for personal reasons she is very excited to be recording a new album with the band, set for release November 2017.

‘Just as Nixi scrunches up her nose at those who fail to live in the moment, her beautiful voice and folk melodies remind us that changing the world really isn’t a lost cause…”  Exclaim!
